Today, "SAP Basis" often does not mean (only) the software architecture. Instead, the term is not infrequently a task description. This refers to the basic administration of the system: installation and configuration, resource management, maintenance and monitoring of a company's SAP setups. This can include user management, patch management and system monitoring. Backup policy, rights management and daily maintenance tasks are also responsibilities of Basis admins.
In the default scenario, the support packages in the queue are fully loaded. During the recording, you may get into the modification comparison (SPDD, SPAU). If you are playing with the default scenario, you must immediately perform the comparison of Dictionary objects (transaction SPDD), whereas when you compare Repository objects (transaction SPAU), you have the choice to skip it first and perform it later (modification comparison [page 22]). The mode is blocked while a Support Package is being introduced. To avoid repeated login, open a second mode before inserting the queue.

Overall, SAP Basis operation requires not only a high-quality technical infrastructure, but also distinct know-how and experience. This is because the management of the underlying SAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA platforms has become extremely complex.

However, it is also possible to attack your SAP system via the network.
To ensure high software quality, avoid hidden consequential error costs and consciously plan for a test period instead of the risk of time bottlenecks, a methodical approach should be planned.
