Identity Management System: Introduction Tips
SAP Basis is the foundation of every SAP system. This page explains what is behind the term and what SAP Basis is responsible for in detail.
There are several ways to introduce and operate new applications. As a company you have the choice between internal realisation and operation, outsourcing, cloud computing and so-called outtasking. In deciding on one of the above concepts, the SAP basis must be included for the evaluation of various technological and operational aspects, which offers the possibility to develop a sound decision. This decision has a significant impact on the future operation of SAP and the associated operating and maintenance costs. The recommendations listed here are intended to help you decide on other forms of service. Information on the recommendation can be found in the Master's thesis in chapters 7.8 and 9.6.
Implementing applications
For the SAP basis and its employees, the change in self-understanding results in an attractive, responsible and demanding working environment. Technological diversity can be controlled and kept to the minimum necessary. This includes an overview of the existing interfaces and a controllable data flow with the associated guarantee of data security.
Presentation layer: The presentation layer is the interface to the users. With the help of SAP GUI, the data is graphically prepared here and made available to the user on the screen. Furthermore, the data newly collected here is passed on to the application programs of the application layer.
Some missing SAP basic functions in the standard are supplied by the PC application "Shortcut for SAP Systems".
Expert tools are also used to fulfil his task.
Furthermore, the data is prepared for the user in the application view so that the user can call up the data visually in the presentation layer.
