As we explained in SAP Basis, your SAP Basis administrator (or team) is directly responsible for keeping your SAP landscape healthy, online, and up-to-date. This includes:

Therefore, SAP Basis is an important core of any SAP infrastructure and is required in both previous versions such as R/3, as well as current versions such as S/4HANA 2021.

"Shortcut for SAP Systems" makes it easier and quicker to complete a number of SAP basis tasks.

If you do not have permissions for this transaction, you can try either the transaction SE03 —> System Modifiability or the transaction SE09 -> Jump -> Transport Organiser Tools -> System Modifiability (under "Administration").
