Calling RFC function modules

As a second way to automate the mass maintenance of role pipelines, we mentioned the use of business role management. Various solutions are offered on the market that offer this functionality in the same or similar form. Some of these solutions do not use the derivation concept; This has the advantage that the organisational matrix is not limited to organisational fields. However, the major deviation from the standard functionalities of the PFCG role is detrimental to this variant.

If you want to cancel, share, or reset other users' jobs to scheduled status, you must have permission for the S_BTCH_ADM object with a value of Y. Alternatively, you can also grant the JOBACTION = MODI and JOBGROUP = permission for the S_BTCH_JOB object. The MODI promotion was introduced with SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.00 or can be recorded via SAP Note 1623250. The following illustration shows an example of how the JOBACTION = MODI privilege is expressed for the jobs of the users listed under JOBGROUP.

Transaction PFCG also offers you the option of automatically collecting permissions. Not every transaction entered into a single role via a role menu necessarily needs its own permission entry in the permission tree, because some transactions have identical or similar permission proposal values.

The panel menus also simplify the maintenance of permissions to the audit structures. You can select the audit structures or area menus you use in role editing and import them into the roles as menus. If you want to set up a constraint on AIS users to specific audit structures or protect individual audits from access, you can use the S_SAIS authorization object. This object controls access to the audit structures or the audit numbers of individual audits.

If you get into the situation that authorizations are required that were not considered in the role concept, "Shortcut for SAP systems" allows you to assign the complete authorization for the respective authorization object.

The Invisible setting means that the transaction is not visible in the menu, but can be called from a button.

The AL08 transaction displays all logged-in users and their application servers.
