After all authorizations are maintained, the role must be saved and generated and a user comparison must be performed. However, this should not be a topic here in the article. This can also be done with the transaction PFUD (see comments to the article "SAP BC: Empty user buffer" :-).

Database Schema Privileges permissions: Schema Privileges are SQL object permissions that control access to and modification of a (database) schema, including the objects contained in that schema. A user who has an Object Privilege for a schema also has the same Object Privilege for all objects in that schema.
What are the advantages of SAP authorizations?
Consulting firms adjust the roles and authorizations in retrospect. This usually means "making the best of it" and making ad hoc adjustments - in other words, not fixing the root cause and cleaning up from scratch. Companies should therefore ask themselves: how can this be avoided? What requirements must a DSGVO-compliant authorization concept fulfill? How can we remain meaningful regarding the authorizations of specific individuals in the system and the purpose of the authorizations?

If the FIORI interface is then used under SAP S/4HANA, the additional components must also be taken into account here. Authorizations are no longer made available to the user via "transaction entries" in the menu of a role. Instead, catalogs and groups are now used here. These are stored similar to the "transaction entries" in the menu of a role and assigned to the user. However, these catalogs must first be filled with corresponding tiles in the so-called "Launchpad Designer". It is important to ensure that all relevant components (tile component and target assignment component(s)) are always stored in the catalog. The FIORI catalog is used to provide a user with technical access to a tile. A corresponding FIORI group is used to make these tiles visually available to the user for access in the Launchpad.

For the assignment of existing roles, regular authorization workflows require a certain minimum of turnaround time, and not every approver is available at every go-live. With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you have options to assign urgently needed authorizations anyway and to additionally secure your go-live.

Adapting business processes to legal requirements requires control of users and authorizations.

This may correspond to a line organisation consisting of organisational units to which posts are assigned.
